Jost Van Dyke Beach Tours
Jost Van Dyke Tours are a great alternative to the Baths and are our fastest growing excursion for Cruise Ship Visitors to Tortola. The waters around the Baths can be extremely rough on many days during the winter months which is prime season for cruise ships to the islands, so the consistently calm waters of White Bay on Jost Van Dyke have become a welcome alternative to the sometimes crowded Baths of Virgin Gorda. The beach at White Bay is picturesque and the turquoise water in the large placid cove is always crystal clear. The coconut palms that line the white sandy beach hide numerous make-shift hangouts that offer tropical drinks, delicious meals, comfortable beach chairs and relaxing hammocks to any and all visitors. The bay is divided into two main beaches with the one to the west being the largest and home to the most prolific bar on White Bay – The Soggy Dollar with its infamous “Painkiller” run cocktail. It also offers a surprising vibrant snorkel reef about 200 yards off the beach that is home to sea turtles, nurse sharks, sting rays and large schools of tropical fish. The beach to the east is located near a small hotel and offers a more quiet beach that caters mostly to the overnight catamarans that are moored off of its shoreline. A path connects the two beaches that are divided by a bold rocky outcropping. A trip to Jost Van Dyke also offers a very scenic 45 minute cruises along Tortola’s southern coastline that includes a view of Sopers Hole, St. John, St. Thomas, Sandy Cay and Sandy Spit. At Jost Van Dyke our large stable catamaran anchors right up next to the beach within a few feet of the Soggy Dollar Bar and this trip is perfect for singles, couples and families alike. Each trip is approximately 6 hours in length and cost $55 for adults and $40 for children under 12 (3 and under are free).
Virgin Gorda Baths - Devils Bay
Virgin Gorda Baths Tours moor right in the heart of the calm, crystal clear waters of the Baths and our large double deck power catamaran offers twin swim ladders for easy water entry. The trip includes a guided snorkel tour of both Spring Bay and Devils Bay and in addition we lead you through the giant boulders along the Devils Bay Trail for an unforgettable hike. The lower shaded level of Blue Star offers a large restroom and refreshment bar, while the upper sundeck has lots of seating and two jump platforms that allow our guests to plunge into the turquoise waters below. The Baths Tour is suitable for singles, couples and families alike, but it is recommended and limited to those who are physically able to traverse the hilly trail and swim the 100 yards to the beach with the assist of their snorkel gear and float. This trips last approximately 4 to 5 hours and cost $55 for adults and $40 for children under 12 (3 and under are free).
